For a small amount of R350.00, you can give a child a future. Your donation will go towards a 5-week literacy project, endorsed by the Department of Education, in 5 languages, namely English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa and Sotho. We do appreciate any donations, even as little as R50.00...

Teaching a child to read is crucial to advanced cognitive functioning and development, and through reading a book, impoverished children can dream, and go anywhere they long to go.

During the 5 weeks, each child will learn about reading and writing, language structure and use, and thinking and reasoning, as well as:

• The Alphabet, Punctuation and Comprehension, Consonants and Vowels;
• Reading a diary, advertisements, a shopping list, timetables;
• Plot, Setting, Character;
• Reading photographs and pictures, A book review;
• And much more…

At the end of the project, each child receives his/her own story book, to keep and take home, so they can continue to read after the project, and grow that love of literature.
